Women’s Swimming and Diving Rounds Out Competition at the MAC Championships with Diving Medalist

OXFORD, Ohio – The Ball State women's swimming and diving team finished up the Mid-American Conference Championships Saturday night.
The Cardinals started off the night's competition with a third place finish by Rachel Bertram in the 3-meter dive. Bertram's score of 294.40 marks a career best for the freshman.
Ball State had two swimmers compete in the 1650 freestyle. Freshman Elizabeth Graham placed 16th after clocking a time of 17:21.97. Freshman Cassidy Blackwin was right behind with a time of 17:32.11, earning her the 17th spot.
Junior Traci Muszalski touched the wall at 2:04.02 in the 200 butterfly, earning 13th place. Senior Katie Horn came in 14th in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:04.52.
The last event of the evening for the Cardinals was the 400 freestyle relay. Freshman Peighton Gilbert, junior Amanda Kedzierski, freshman Anne Vormohr and senior Jessica Extine all teamed up and recorded a final time of 3:29.59.
The Ball State women's swimming and diving team finished the Championships in eighth place with a score of 161.5.
