Monaco Earns MAC Player of The Week Honors

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Ball State women's basketball senior forward Moriah Monaco has been named Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Week, marking the second time Monaco has earned the honor.
In the Cardinals lone contest last week, Monaco registered a 23-point performance off of 62 percent shooting, to help Ball State remain undefeated (6-0) with its 87-75 victory over in-state rival Butler last Wednesday night in Worthen Arena. With the win, Ball State is off to their best start in program history.
Monaco has now scored in double figures 60 times in her career after the game against the Bulldogs. Monaco led Ball State with 11 points at intermission and was perfect from the field, 4-of-4. She helped the Cardinals to their best first half shooting performance of the season, 62 percent. The senior forward also went 2-of-3 from behind the arc.
The Ball State women's basketball team remains the only undefeated team in the MAC after its 66-60 win at Big Ten foe Purdue Monday night in Mackey Arena. The now 7-0 Cardinals will host Southeast Missouri State Thursday night at 7 p.m. in Worthen Arena.
