The Ball State soccer team, riding a six-game unbeaten streak, returns to the Briner Sports Complex to host Northern Illinois for a Sunday afternoon contest. It will be Indy Eleven Day, with representatives from the NASL team on hand.

Ball State (6-5-2, 4-0-1 MAC) is first in the overall Mid-American Conference standings as the league schedule reaches its midway point. NIU (6-5-1, 3-2-0 MAC) is one spot behind the Cardinals in the MAC West Division.

Both teams are coming off victories Thursday. Ball State went on the road to defeat Western Michigan 1-0 behind a goal from Sam Kambol, while NIU topped Miami 2-1 in double overtime at home.

Kambol and Julia Elvbo lead Ball State with four goals each this season. Elvbo, who scored three times last weekend, was selected Friday as the HERO Sports HERO of the Week for NCAA Division I women's soccer. She is also the reigning MAC Offensive Player of the Week.

Sunday's contest is the first of three in a row at home for the Cardinals. Next week's slate includes games Friday against Eastern Michigan and Sunday against Central Michigan.
