Women’s Golf Concludes Fall Season at Cardinal Cup

SIMPSONVILLE, Ky. -- The Ball State women's golf team wrapped up its fall schedule Sunday, finishing 15th at Louisville's Cardinal Cup.
The Cardinals closed with a round of 328 to finish with a 54-hole total of 957 (+93) at the University of Louisville Golf Club.
Louisville held onto its overnight lead on a day that featured high scores for most of the field. UofL (+13) finished eight shots clear of second-place Illinois (+21). The tournament included 10 teams ranked among the top 75 in the country.
Lauren Hartlage of Louisville entered the final day with a nine-shot lead and stretched it to 12. She finished at 10 under par for the three rounds to claim medalist honors.
Manon Tounalom was Ball State's top finisher in a tie for 51st place with a 54-hole score of 235 (+19), while Sydney Anderson was next in a tie for 64th.
The Cardinals will return to action in February with the start of their spring schedule. They will host the Ball State Sunshine Invitational Feb. 9-10 on the Dye Course at PGA Village in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
