Men’s Tennis Wraps Up Day Two At Louisville Fall Invite

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Ball State men's tennis team wrapped up its second day of competition at the Louisville Fall Invitational Saturday evening.
In singles action, Chris Adams advanced to the quarterfinals in the Flight C main draw, after a straight set win over Chattanooga's Cooper Long by a score of 6-2, 6-1. Adams then fell to Tripp Tuff of DePaul in the semifinals, 6-2, 6-1. In Flight C consolation action, Khamasi Muhiga took a three set thriller from Addison Cazier of Butler, 1-6, 6-3, 10-4. Muhiga then defeated Chris Moore of Wright State in the quarterfinals, 6-2, 6-1 before falling to Nikoea Arsic of Toledo in the semis, 7-6, 6- 0.
In doubles Flight A consolation, Nemanja Guzina paired up with Thibault De Negri to earn a 6-3 victory over Toledo's doubles tandem of Danilo Vukotic and Thawing Suksathaporn.
Marko Guzina and Conner Andersen also advanced in the Flight B consolation round after posting an 7-6 win over Matthew Terry and William Malm. Adam Boning and Adams moved on in the Flight B consolation bracket today. The twosome captured a 6-4 defeat over Toledo's Reid Teatsorth and Juan Carranza.
Tom Carney alongside doubles partner Muhiga managed to advance in the Flight C main draw making it to the semi final round. Carney and Muhiga earned a first round bye and then went on to defeat DePaul's Tripp Tuff and Tamas Nador, 8-6. Luke Wiese and Jan Jirus also found success in the Flight C main draw. Wiese and Jirus took down Illinois State's Brando Lew and Butler's Addison Cazier, 8-5.
