Anderson, Tounalom Pace Women's Golf in Illinois

NORMAL, Ill. -- Sydney Anderson made her way into the top 10 and Manon Tounalom led the lineup for the Ball State women's golf team Sunday on day one of Illinois State's Redbird Invitational.
Anderson, competing as an individual, carded an even-par second round on the 36-hole day. Through two rounds at Weibring Golf Club, the sophomore from Columbus, Indiana, is tied for 10th at 5 over par.
Tounalom, a freshman from France, made her collegiate debut. She turned in rounds of 78 and 74 to lead Ball State's five-player lineup in a tie for 21st at 8 over.
Seniors Kelsey Sear and Allison Lindley are next on the leaderboard for the Cardinals in a tie for 37th.
The Cardinals sit in eighth place out of 14 teams with a two-round total of 621 (+45). Boston College and Northern Illinois lead the way at 597 (+21), while FGCU is two shots back in third place.
Evansville's Kayla Katterhenry, who followed her opening round of 65 with a 75, sits atop the individual leaderboard at 4 under par.
The third and final round will be played Monday with an 8:30 a.m. CT (9:30 ET) shotgun start.
