MUNCIE, Ind. -- When the Ball State football team welcomes MAC rival Northern Illinois to Scheumann Stadium on Saturday, October 1, the Cardinals will be doing more than trying to win back the Bronze Stalk Trophy.
The athletics department will be saluting all military and public safety officials while welcoming residents of Muncie to the stadium with a special offer. Any military personnel or public safety official with an ID may receive one complimentary general admission ticket to the contest. This offer can be leveraged in advance of game day at the Stoops Buick/GMC Ticket Center inside Worthen Arena, via phone by calling 888-BSU-TICKET or on the day of the game at the stadium.
All residents of Muncie are encouraged to attend the NIU tilt with a special ticket offer of $8 per general admission ticket thanks to game sponsor, Hays+Sons, and the Team Ball State Partners, MutualBank, Pepsi, Nike, Stoops Buick/GMC, Comcast Xfinity and the Ball State Federal Credit Union. This offer can only be redeemed in advance of game day at the Stoops Buick/GMC Ticket Center inside Worthen Arena or via phone by calling 888-BSU-TICKET.
More Muncie and military tie-ins will be sprinkled throughout the game. As part of the Extra Yard for Teachers program conducted by the College Football Playoff, teachers involved with Muncie's P3 after-school program will be honored as we welcome students who completed Charlie's Reading Challenge. Hillcroft clients will perform a dance routine at halftime as well as dancers from Cole Academy. Members of the Muncie Rotary club will also be in attendance rooting on the Cardinal and White. The Ball State ROTC program will also officially welcome new cadets during the game.
Game time was recently announced for this contest at 3:30 p.m.
