Men’s Tennis Completes Day One At Milwaukee Tennis Classic

MILWAUKEE, Wis. - The Ball State men's tennis team opened its fall campaign Friday at the 41st annual Milwaukee Tennis Classic. The event is hosted by Marquette University and held at the Town Club in Fox Point, Wisconsin.
The Cardinals opened fall action with doubles competition against Navy. Lucas Andersen alongside fellow senior Andrew Stutz started the match off with a 6-2 win over Navy's Thomas Pecor and Andrey Majkic. The twins Marko Guzina and brother Nemanja Guzina also registered a victory over the Bill's Ian Landwehr and Joshua Martin by a score of 6-4.
To close out the day, Ball State took on host Marquette in singles action. Stutz, Marko Guzina, Nemanja Guzina, Patrick Downs and Conner Andersen each earned straight set victories over the Golden Eagles.
The Ball State men's tennis team continues action at the 41st annual Milwaukee Tennis Classic Saturday when it faces Wisconsin in singles action at 10 a.m. (EST). After that, the Cardinals are set to play Marquette in doubles with a 4 p.m. (EST) first serve.
