Women's Golf Hands out Team Awards
June 09, 2016 | Women's Golf
Allison Lindley was named MVP of the Ball State women's golf team for the second year in a row when the team recently held its postseason banquet.
Kelsey Sear was selected as the team's Most Improved Player, while Sydney Anderson was named Freshman of the Year. Kayla Adamson captured the Elizabeth A. Dunn Most Inspirational award.
Lindley led Ball State with a 76.38 stroke average and five top-10 finishes for the season. Sear improved her stroke average nearly two full strokes to 77.91, posted four top-10 results and claimed her second collegiate victory at the Bulldog Florida Invitational.
Anderson competed in every event in her first year for the Cardinals, logging three top-20 finishes, including a tie for 15th at The Preview. Adamson also played in all 12 events, returning from an injury that sidelined her for the entire second half of the previous season.
All four award winners return for the Cardinals next season. Lindley and Sear will be seniors, Adamson a junior and Anderson a sophomore.
