Select Ball State Football Game Times Announced

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced an updated version of the 2016 football schedule Thursday. This includes the first three weeks of the regular season, several protected dates and midweek games in late October and November.
Four of Ball State's five home contests now have official game times. The home opener on Sept. 17 against Eastern Kentucky, which is part of Family Weekend, will start at 3 p.m., and be streamed on ESPN3. The Homecoming game on Oct. 22 versus Akron will also kick off at 3 p.m. Television coverage for the Akron game will be announced 12 days out.
All four November weeknight games have been scheduled as well. The Nov. 1 home game against Western Michigan will begin at 8 p.m., and air on either ESPN2 or ESPNU. Ball State's home finale on Nov. 8 against Eastern Michigan is scheduled to kick at 7:30 p.m., on either ESPN2 or CBS Sports Network.
On Nov. 16, the Cardinals travel to Toledo and will take on the Rockets at either 7 or 8 p.m., depending on television coverage on ESPN2 or ESPNU. The regular season concludes on Nov. 22 at Miami beginning at 7 p.m., on ESPNU or ESPN3.
The Oct. 8 game at Central Michigan will kick at 3 p.m., with television to be announced 12 days out. Ball State's other two league games, Oct. 1 versus Northern Illinois and Oct. 15 at Buffalo, will have game times and television coverage announced 12 days prior.
The 20th MAC Football Championship game, held at Ford Field in Detroit, is slated for Dec. 2 at 7 p.m., on ESPN2. This will mark the 13th Marathon MAC Football Championship game at Ford Field, home of the Detroit Lions, Super Bowl XL and the 2009 NCAA Men's Final Four.
