Ball State Football to Face Penn State in 2021

MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State football team has added another Big Ten team to its future scheduling. The Cardinals have agreed to take on Penn State on Sept. 11, 2021 at University Park, Pennsylvania.
The meeting in 2021 will be the first ever between the two teams. Penn State's Beaver Stadium is the second-largest stadium in the nation as the facility's capacity currently stands at 106,572. Ball State played at the fourth-largest venue this past fall (Texas A&M's Kyle Field – 102,733) and is slated to play at the nation's largest stadium in 2020 (Michigan Stadium – 107,601).
Other Big Ten opponents scheduled for upcoming seasons include Illinois (2017), Indiana (2018, 2019, 2020) and Michigan (2020).
Ball State opens its 2016 campaign on Friday, Sept. 2 at Georgia State. The home opener is slated for Saturday, Sept. 17 against Eastern Kentucky and will be broadcast digitally on ESPN3 beginning at 3 p.m.
