Quinn Bixler Named CSCAA Scholar All-American Honorable Mention

NORFOLK, Va. - - Ball State women's diver Quinn Bixler was one of a record 853 swimmers and divers named to the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America team.
A junior for the Cardinals during the 2015-16 campaign, Bixler was named a honorable mention CSCAA Scholar All-American after participating in the 2016 NCAA Zone Diving Championships. Competing against the best divers in the region, she placed 35th (220.15) on the one-meter board and 44th (203.40) on the three-meter board.
An accounting major with a 3.689 grade-point average, Bixler collected career-best scores of 270.60 on the one-meter and 282.98 on the three-meter boards at the Doug Coers Invitational (Nov. 21) hosted by Ball State. Both efforts rank eighth on the Cardinals' individual top 10 list.
To be selected to the CSCAA Scholar All-America Team, swimmers and divers must have achieved a grade-point average of 3.50 or higher and have participated in their respective NCAA/NAIA/NJCAA Swimming and Diving Championships. Honorable Mention selections have similarly achieved a GPA of 3.50 and achieved a "B" time standard or competed at their respective diving qualifying meets.
