Nine Cardinals Make the List for Athlon's Preseason All-MAC Team

MUNCIE, Ind. – Nine Ball State football players made the cut for Athlon's preseason All-Mid-American Conference team.
Seniors Joshua Posley (defensive lineman) and Sean Wiggins (linebacker) were the two Cardinals to get the nod for the first team. Senior wide receiver KeVonn Mabon was selected twice, once as a wide receiver and also as a specialist. Offensive lineman Drake Miller, aiming to be a third year starter on the line, found his name on the second team.
Punter Kyle Schmidt, punt returner Corey Lacanaria, running back Darian Green, defensive back Martez Hester and kicker Morgan Hagee were the other selections.
Ball State opens its 2016 campaign on Friday, Sept. 2 at Georgia State. The home opener is slated for Saturday, Sept. 17 against Eastern Kentucky and will be broadcast digitally on ESPN3 beginning at 3 p.m.
