Cardinals Post Successful Spring Academic Term

MUNCIE, Ind. -- Ball State had 37 student-athletes post a perfect 4.0 GPA for the spring term, highlighting another impressive semester for the Cardinals in the classroom.
Two-thirds of Ball State student-athletes (273 of 411) managed a semester GPA of 3.0 or greater, while 37 percent (152 of 411) qualified for the Dean's List with marks of at least 3.5.
That success continued to be reflected in the Cardinals' cumulative team GPAs with 17 of Ball State's 19 teams owning marks of 3.0 or better. The women's swimming and diving team led the way with a 3.59 cumulative GPA. The men's tennis team was second, and highest among men's teams, at 3.54.
The Cardinals' all-sport cumulative GPA was 3.17, while 271 individual student-athletes boasted cumulative GPAs of 3.0 or better (131 were 3.5 or better).
A total of 68 Ball State student-athletes graduated this spring.
