Lindley, Nadaline Finish Top-15 at MAC Championships

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. -- Allison Lindley finished 14th and Morgan Nadaline tied for 15th for the Ball State women's golf team as the Mid-American Conference Championships concluded Sunday.
Lindley led Ball State in the final round with a 75 (+3), while the Cardinals also counted a trio of 76's from Nadaline, Sydney Anderson and Kelsey Sear. It added up to 303, the team's best round of the tournament.
The Cardinals finished with a 54-hole total of 920 to place ninth at Purgatory Golf Club.
Defending champion and 13th-ranked Kent State won with a total of 868 (+4) to claim the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Championships. The Golden Flashes held off Toledo (+8) by four strokes, while Ohio (+18) finished third.
Akron's Danielle Nicholson (-5) led wire-to-wire to claim individual medalist honors by two strokes over Toledo's Pimchanok Kawil (-3). Ohio's Hailey Hrynewich (-2) was the only other player under par.
Lindley finished 14th with a total of 224 (+8), ranking among the tournament leaders with 11 birdies for the week, while Nadaline (+9) was one shot behind her in a tie for 15th.
All five golfers who competed this week for Ball State will return next season.
