NOBLESVILLE, Ind. -- Allison Lindley and Morgan Nadaline once again led the Ball State women's golf team Saturday at the Mid-American Conference Championships. They just flip-flopped scores from a day earlier.
This time it was Lindley with a 74 (+2) and Nadaline with a 75 (+3) at Purgatory Golf Club. The pair is tied for 14th place on the individual leaderboard with one round to play at 149 (+5). Lindley made five birdies for the second day in a row and leads the field with 10 of them for the tournament.
Ball State also counted a 76 from Sydney Anderson and an 81 from Kayla Adamson on the way to a second-round score of 306. The Cardinals remained in ninth place with a 36-hole total of 617.
Defending champion and 13th-ranked Kent State jumped to the top of the team leaderboard at 579 (+3) after the posting the tournament's first under-par round Saturday. The Golden Flashes hold a three-stroke lead over Toledo. The next-closest team is Ohio, 14 shots back.
Akron's Danielle Nicholson (-4) holds the individual lead, while Ohio's Emily Hughes (-2), Toledo's Pimchanok Kawil (-2) and Kent State's Wad Phaewchimplee (-1) are also under par.
The third and final round will be played Sunday, and Ball State's tee times begin at 8 a.m. Live scoring is available at golfstat.com.
