Opening Pitch: Ball State has won eight of its last 10 games, averaging more than 10 runs a game in that span. The Cardinals lead the MAC in batting average (.304) and runs scored (239), while ranking second in team ERA (3.79).
Ball State has been on a hot streak against conference opponents as the Cardinals have won their last five MAC contests. The Cardinals have scored 13 or more runs in four of the last five conference games. 1B Caleb Stayton (18), RF Alex Call (12) and C Jarett Rindfleisch (11) have all driven in more than 10 runs during the stretch.
Series History: Central Michigan leads the all-time series by a count of 90-54. The teams met three times in 2015, with Central Michigan winning two of three games at Ball Diamond.
2B Ryan Spaulding, RF Alex Call and SS Alex Maloney will look to duplicate their success against Central Michigan in last year's 15-7 victory, as the trio went 8-for-14 at the plate with nine runs scored and eight RBIs.
