17 From Women?s Swim & Dive Earn Academic All-Conference

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Ball State women's swimming and diving team had 17 participants honored by the Mid-American Conference as it announced the 2016 Academic All-MAC team on Tuesday afternoon.
Of the 108 student-athletes named to the team, four recorded perfect 4.0 grade point averages, including three from Ball State. Sophomore Hannah Cressman, senior Sydney Harris, and junior Courtney Mudd reached the accomplishment, along with Alexis Valedon from Buffalo.
Ball State tops the conference with 17 student-athletes receiving academic honors. Akron, Bowling Green, and Miami each placed 15 on the team.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
