Lindley Posts another Top-25 at Rio Verde

RIO VERDE, Ariz. -- Allison Lindley and Sydney Anderson led the Ball State women's golf team with final-round scores of 75 (+3) Sunday at the Rio Verde Invitational.
The Cardinals closed with a round of 310 to finish in 16th place with a 54-hole total of 925 on the White Wing course at Rio Verde Country Club. The team also counted a 78 from Kelsey Sear and an 82 from Kayla Adamson in Sunday's round.
Toledo expanded its overnight lead to win the tournament with a score of 885. They Rockets were 11 shots clear of a trio of teams tied for second -- Wichita State, UMKC and Missouri State.
Xavier's Hanna Lee maintained her spot atop the individual leaderboard, finishing at 217 (+1) to win by one shot over Toledo's Sathika Ruenreong.
Lindley led Ball State with a tie for 23rd place at 225 (+9) after a steady week with three straight rounds of 75. It was her fifth top-25 finish in seven events this season. She finished sixth a couple weeks ago at the FGCU Eagle Invitational.
Anderson, who made a big jump Saturday, moved up a couple more spots Sunday to finish as the second Ball State player on the leaderboard. She tied for 32nd at 227 (+11).
The Cardinals will return to action March 9-10 at the Bulldog Florida Invitational in Jacksonville.
