Ball State senior Calyn Hosea breaking out this winter
Muncie, Ind. - Sophomore Calyn Hosea was a regular in the Ball State women's basketball lineup. She started almost every game, often times handling the point guard duties. Junior Calyn Hosea was almost nowhere to be found. Now senior Calyn Hosea is making every Cardinal fan forget about anything that's come before.
After watching her minutes dip regularly into the single figures in 2015-16, Hosea decided it was time to make a change. After all, nobody comes to college to sit, especially not after having played a critical role on a team that won 17 games and advanced to the WNIT. So this past offseason Hosea went to work. The now senior is refocused, honed in on defense and equipped with a consistent jump shot from 15 feet she'd never had before. The result? Well, Hosea's now a player Head Coach Brady Sallee calls indispensable.
Ball State All-Access recently caught up with the senior and her coach to talk about her fourth-year evolution.
