
Men’s Swimming and Diving Wins Big Over Tiffin

MUNCIE, Ind. – The men's swimming and diving team was victorious over Tiffin University Saturday afternoon. The final score was 162.5 to 74.5.
Junior Isaac Walling finished first in the 500 freestyle at 4:56.57 and second in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 10:12.53.
Freshman Chase Jackson placed first in the 100 backstroke at 53.46, second in the 200 backstroke at 1:59.29, and part of first finish in the 200 yard medley along with Luke Nondorf, Tanner Barton and Austin Green.
Senior Tanner Barton won all the events he competed in today. Barton had a time of 1:58.61 in the 200 butterfly and a time of 52.58 in the 100 butterfly. He also competed in the 400 freestyle relay and 200 medley relay, both first place finishes.
Senior Austin Green also only saw his name in first place this afternoon. Green finished first in the 50 freestyle (21.99) and in the 100 freestyle (48.18). He was also part of the first place finishes in the 400 freestyle relay and 200 medley relay.
Other top finishers on the day were Ben Andrew in the 400 IM at 4:26.56, Lane Sawyer in 1-meter diving and 3-meter diving, Luke Nondorf in the 200 breaststroke at 2:15.78 and Cullen Tyler in the 100 breaststoke 1:01.55.
"Our seniors, Tanner Barton and Austin Green, continue to lead the team throughout these last three weekends," said head coach Bob Thomas. "We are hopeful that their success will continue and rub off on the rest of the team."
