Mike Neu Press Conference - Eastern Michigan Week
November 04, 2016 | Football
Looking back at the Western Michigan game …
"We got beat by a good football team that's been very consistent on a weekly basis. They came in here the other night and played how they've been playing all season long. We didn't connect when opportunities presented themselves. Our guys played hard, the effort was there. We did a lot of good things, but not enough when you have a good team like that."
On Ball State's turnover problems/scoring points …
"We have to eliminate the turnovers. Our guys have done a lot of good things on the field, yet when you have three turnovers and don't cause them any or force them into any, it's tough to win like that. If it continues, you have to look to make changes to the lineup."
On the improvement of EMU …
"I've been impressed from their execution ... they've done a really good job too of not beating themselves ... they bend but they don't break. The quarterback has done a very good job … he's been very consistent and has made those down-the-field plays."
On the senior class …
"The one thing I can tell is that once these guys leave from here they're going to make an impact on our world. There are a lot of guys here who have impressed me with their preparation, with their work ethic, with who they are as a person. I wish I had an opportunity to work with them more than one year because they've been great to be around. I'm going to miss the whole group; they've been great to work with and really leading by example for the younger guys in the program."
