• The Ball State women's basketball team concluded its three-game long road trip at the Savannah Invitational last week over the Thanksgiving holiday. The Cardinals opened the tournament with a loss over Auburn (54-40) before bouncing back with an impressive win over NC A&T (76-57) on Wednesday. Ball State then suffered its first overtime loss since 2013-14 when the Cardinals fell 82-69 last Thursday to East Carolina. The Cardinals will now take on Chicago State on Thursday, Dec. 1 in Worthen Arena at 7 p.m. Ball State is currently 2-0 at home.
• Junior forward Moriah Monaco earned all-tournament honors at the Savannah Invitational last week after averaging 16.7 points, 5.0 rebounds and 5.0 assists while knocking down 10 3-pointers in three games. Monaco has scored in double figures in all of the Cardinals games this season. She opened the Savannah Invitational with an 11-point performance against Auburn Tuesday night. She then led all scorers with a 23-point performance in the Cardinals 76-57 victory over NC A&T. She finished the tournament strong, registering team high 16 points after knocking down four from behind the arc while also pulling down eight rebounds.
• Ball State fell to 3-2 this season after the Savannah Invitational while Chicago State remains winless with an 0-6 overall ledger. This is the 13th meeting between the two programs with Ball State leading the series, 12-0.
• The last time Ball State and Chicago State met was in 2003-04 which resulted in an 83-74 loss for the Cougars.
