On wrapping up the home schedule against Eastern Michigan …
"I just really want to thank the Ball State band for what they do and leading us into the game. I appreciate them being into it the whole time. I also want to thank the Ball State cheerleaders and Code Red Dance team for all the hard work they do. It's hard. They're the ones that stick with us through thick and thin, so I wanted to say thank you to them for their effort. We are going to get there, but I appreciate them being into it all the time. They do such a great job, and we need them in a sense for us to get where we want to go."
Looking forward to the Toledo game …
"We have a lot left to play for. We are in a single elimination mindset right now. There is something for us to play for, obviously if we handle out business we can be bowl eligible. We've got practice, then a walkthrough, and we will hop on that bus with the mindset that we are going to win. We are going to work our tail off, that's the way I know how to work."
Thoughts on Toledo …
"I think they are very balanced. They're playing complimentary football, defense and offense. The quarterback is playing at a high level, again a team that doesn't make very many mistakes. I am not surprised by the amount of success that Toledo has had. Coach [Candle] is new, but very sharp, very talented."
On having a winning mindset …
"Obviously, winning teams that have a winning mindset, find ways to win close games. That's the difference, when you find winning teams to win close games. We're going to fix the turnover margin, and figure out how to win close games. That's what winning teams do, that's what confident teams do. That's what a winning mindset does."
