Men’s Swimming and Diving Shines Against Albion College and Rose-Hulman

MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State men's swimming and diving team defeated both Albion College and Rose-Hulman Friday night in a double dual meet. The Cardinals had a final score of 159.50 to Albion College's 121.50. Ball State scored 198.00 to Rose-Hulman's 83.00.
Senior Tanner Barton finished first in the 200 yard butterfly, second in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 52.64 and second as part of the 200 yard medley relay. Barton also helped lead the Cardinals in the first place finish in the 200 yard freestyle relay along with freshman Ben Andrew, sophomore Luke Nondorf and senior Austin Green.
Sophomore Cullen Tyler also had an impressive performance today. Tyler finished first in the 100 yard breaststroke (1:00.43), first in the 200 yard breaststroke (2:12.83), and third in the 200 yard IM (2:03.87).
Senior Austin Green, along with being part of the 200 yard freestyle relay and 200 yard medley relay, also had top individual finishes. Green placed first in the 50 yard freestyle with a final time of 21.86 and first in the 100 yard freestyle with a final time of 48.31.
The Ball State men's swimming and diving team will be in action again on Saturday, Nov. 5 at 1 p.m.
