Pete Lembo Joins the Ball State Sports Podcast

The Ball State Sports Podcast, now in its sixth week on iTunes, welcomes Cardinals football coach Pete Lembo as a guest this week. Lembo becomes the third Ball State football coach on the podcast, following interviews with Paul Shudel and Dwight Wallace in recent weeks.
On this week's podcast Lembo joins the 'Voice of the Cardinals' Joel Godett in talking about his upbringing on Staten Island, NY and his first exposure to football. The two further dive into his recruitment to, and eventual playing days at, Georgetown University in Washington, DC. They recount, as Lembo call it, his time being 'the other center' on Georgetown's campus in the era of Alonzo Mourning. Hall-of-Famer John Thompson's name even creeps in during one of Lembo's visits to the athletic training room as a college senior. The pair finishes talking about Lembo's early years a coach, bouncing around the east coast in pursuit of his dream.
