Men's Tennis Completes Day Two At Milwaukee Classic

MILWAUKEE, Wis. - The Ball State men's tennis team continued fall action at the 40th annual Milwaukee Tennis Classic Saturday with singles play against Big Ten foe Wisconsin and then faced host Marquette in doubles action.
Against Wisconsin, Jan Jirus defeated the Badgers Jose Maria Martin De Oliva Carranza while teammate Collin Rigney also took down his opponent Elliott Sprecher. Both Jirus and Rigney earned straight set victories over their respective opponents.
In doubles play, the Cardinals took on host Marquette but would lose all four of their matches to the Golden Eagles.
The Ball State men's tennis team will conclude its competition at the 40th annual Milwaukee Tennis Classic Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. (EST) against Wisconsin in doubles and then close the weekend out with singles play versus Valparaiso at 12:00 p.m. (EST).
The 40th Annual Milwaukee Tennis Classic is Sept. 18-20 at The Town Club in Fox Point, Wis. The tournament is presented by Milwaukee Tennis Classic, Inc. and Marquette University.
