Lots of Exciting Events, Giveaways on Tap for Opener

MUNCIE, Ind. – It is officially game week for the 2015 Ball State football season opener. With that in mind, there are lots of happenings prepared for Thursday night's contest against VMI at Scheumann Stadium.
--Military Appreciation Night
All military personnel can present their ID at the box office for a complimentary general admission ticket. Fans can contact Kaylynne Goeglein (kgoeglein@bsu.edu or 765-285-1551) for Military Night specially-priced tickets for military family and friends.
--Ford Oval of Honor
Ball State will recognize four local Vietnam Veterans in a ceremony inside CharlieTown at 4 p.m. The ceremony will feature Ball State Director of Athletics Mark Sandy, Col. Eric Hutchings (former commandant of VMI) and Frank Bodwell (representing Ford). The selected Veterans will help welcome the football team upon arrival and will then be recognized in front of the Scheumann Stadium crowd prior to the National Anthem.

Located on the west lawn of the Alumni Center, CharlieTown features food and beverages at the Chirp 'n' Grill, a family fun zone, and music two hours prior to kick-off for every home football game! Click here for more information.

The first 5,000 fans will receive a red/white/black camouflage rally towel courtesy of Dellen Ford Lincoln in Muncie.
