August 13, 2015 | Football
MUNCIE, Ind. – The Ball State football team wrapped up its first of four two-a-days of preseason practice at Scheumann Stadium Wednesday night.
The Cardinals resume a single session practice Thursday at 2:15 p.m. On Friday, the Ball State football team will begin the day with an 8:15 a.m. session before holding its first scrimmage at 7:15 p.m. under the lights of Scheumann Stadium.
“It will be really beneficial to have an officiating crew on hand for the first time during preseason camp,” Ball State head football coach Pete Lembo said. “The guys get instant feedback when the officials are here. We will build in some live scrimmage situations to that practice. This is the first year where we will get eight man crews on a full time basis.”
2015 Fall Fan Jam: The Ball State football team winds down the week Saturday with the Fall Fan Jam from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Scheumann Stadium. This annual fan favorite features football skills stations for fall sports, poster giveaways, autographs, cheerleaders, Code Red dancers, Charlie Cardinal and free food from corporate partners. Fans can also check out the new playing surface and take a walk around the locker room and meet student-athletes and coaches from a variety of sports.
