Kessinger Named To 2015-16 Women's Swim & Dive Team

MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State women's swim and dive program has announced Lauren Kessinger (New Albany, Ind./Jeffersonville) as an addition to the 2016 class, according to head coach Kristy Castillo. Kessinger will be the tenth newcomer to the Ball State women's swim and dive team for the upcoming 2015-16 season.
Kessinger enters Ball State with a 3.50 GPA and as a varsity letter winner from Jeffersonville High School. Diving under coaches Gregg Smith and Susan Colston, Kessinger was named to First Team All-Conference in the Hoosier Hills Conference her senior year. In the process of posting a school record, pool record and sectional record (456.95) in her senior season, Kessinger and the Jeffersonville team earned both the conference and sectional titles. In her freshman and sophomore years at New Albany High School, Kessinger was also named the Most Valuable Diver.
The Ball State women's swimming and diving team will begin its season with the Red and White Intrasquad meet on Saturday, Oct. 10 at the Lewellen Aquatic Center.
