Cardinals Gearing Up For 2015 Football Camp

MUNCIE, Ind. – It's late July, which means the college football season is just around the corner. The Ball State incoming football freshmen report to campus on Monday, Aug. 3, with the veterans slated to arrive the following day. The team will hold its first official practice on Wednesday, Aug. 5 at Scheumann Stadium beginning at 7:15 p.m.
One hundred five players are on the preseason camp roster including 20 seniors. Both sides of the football are full of returning starters with seven returnees on defense and 12 on offense.
Preseason scrimmages will be announced at a later date.
All preseason practices are open to the public. Cardinal supporters and media are more than welcome to attend practice.
The Ball State football season opener is scheduled for Thursday night, Sept. 3 against VMI at Scheumann Stadium. This is the third time in the last four seasons the Cardinals have opened their schedule with a home Thursday night contest. Ball State has won five consecutive home openers.
