Outdoor Track & Field Places 14 On Academic All-MAC Team

MUNCIE, Ind. - - A total of 14 members of the Ball State track & field program were named to the 2015 Women's Outdoor Track & Field Academic All-Mid-American Conference Team as announced by the league office.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade-point average and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for their particular sport.
Of Ball State's 14 award winners, two student-athletes completed the 2014-15 season sweep of Academic All-MAC awards with senior Caitlynn Edon (New Palestine, Ind./New Palestine) and sophomore Ericka Rinehart (Angola, Ind./Angola) earning the honor for cross country, indoor track & field and outdoor track & field.
In addition, seven other Ball State student-athletes earned the honor during both the 2015 indoor and outdoor track & field campaigns; sophomore Olivia Ashba (Ellettsville, Ind./Edgewood), senior Hannah Ciasto-Poor (Bloomington, Ind./Bloomington South), sophomore Elizabeth Eversole (Mishawaka, Ind./Marian), junior Michaela Hull (Bloomington, Ind./Bloomington South), senior Rebecca Lomax (Indianapolis, Ind./Southport), junior Marie Lumpkin (Losantville, Ind./Union) and sophomore Gabrielle Perryman (Beachwood, Ohio/Beachwood).
Ball State's remaining 2015 Outdoor Track & Field Academic All-MAC award winners include three-time career track & field honoree senior Courtney Edon (New Palestine, Ind./New Palestine), who also earned the honor during the 2014 cross country season, and first-time winners senior Haley Austin (Avon, Ind./Avon), senior Hannah Lange (Martinsville, Ind./Martinsville), sophomore Emma Manchess (Pendleton, Ind./Pendleton Heights) and sophomore Kassidy Swenson (Valparaiso, Ind./Valparaiso).
