Walsh Named To U.S. Men's Junior National Team

MUNCIE, Ind. - - Ball State men's volleyball middle blocker Matt Walsh has been named to the 12-man roster for the U.S. Men's Junior National Team. The team will ultimately compete at the 2015 FIVB Under-21 World Championship, held Sept. 11-20 in Tijuana, Mexico.
Walsh's selection to the team came after training at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid, N.Y. from June 10-21, where the 21-man roster was cut to the final 12. The team will warm up for the 2015 FIVB Under-21 World Championship by competing at the Men's Under-21 Pan American Cup in Gatineau, Quebec, Canada from June 23-28.
The roster also includes three other Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association players in addition to Walsh, while the team is coached by Dan Friend of Lewis University.
