Men's Volleyball Earns 14 Academic All-MIVA Honors

MUNCIE, Ind. - - The Ball State men's volleyball team had 14 student-athletes earn Academic All-Conference honors, announced Tuesday afternoon by the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association. Two seniors, two juniors, five sophomores and four freshmen from the Ball State program were 14 of 117 players to be named to the Academic All-MIVA Team.
Lewis' Geoff Powell and Quincy's Simon Bruckner were the only two men's volleyball student-athletes on the list to record a perfect 4.0 GPA, while Ball State held the third most honorees of the nine MIVA schools.
The Academic All-MIVA honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.00 cumulative GPA.
