Men's Tennis Hosts NIU In MAC Action Saturday

MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State men's tennis team (9-9, 0-1 MAC) returns to the Cardinal Creek Tennis Center Saturday for a 1 p.m. Mid-American Conference match against Northern Illinois (14-4, 2-0 MAC).
The Cardinals lost to Toledo 6-1 in their MAC opener but bounced back Wednesday by defeating Butler on the road, 5-2. Northern Illinois has started league action with a 2-0 record after posting wins against Binghamton (4-3) and Western Michigan (4-3).
Since 2006-07, the Cardinals are 5-3 in their last eight MAC regular season meetings against the Huskies. The last time Ball State played Northern Illinois at home was in 2012-13 which resulted in a 7-0 victory for the Cardinals.
After Saturday's match, the Cardinals will return to non-conference action Tuesday at home against Indiana University Southeast at 2:30 p.m.
