Leonard, Andersen Earn All-MAC Honors

MUNCIE, Ind. - Senior Ray Leonard and sophomore Lucas Andersen of the Ball State men's tennis team have earned All-Mid-American Conference First and Second Team accolades, respectively. Leonard was also recognized with the Jack Vredevelt Sportsmanship Award. The All-MAC honors are voted on by the league's coaches and were announced by the conference office Wednesday.
Leonard was named All-MAC First Team for the fourth straight season. He joins former Cardinal Matt Baccarani (2002-06) as the only other players in program history to receive the honor all four years of their career. Leonard is the second Cardinal to receive the Jack Vredevelt Sportsmanship Award which is an annual award presented to a senior who has displayed outstanding sportsmanship throughout his career. Alex Brym received the honor is 2012-13.
Andersen received All-MAC Second Team honors for the second time in his career. He ended the season with the second best overall record on the team with a 20-13 mark. He also led the team in MAC victories with a 4-1 ledger.
