Women's Swim & Dive Earns 13 All-MAC Academic Honors

MUNCIE, Ind. - - The Ball State women's swimming and diving team had 13 student-athletes earn Academic All-Conference honors, announced Friday afternoon by the Mid-American Conference. Four seniors, one junior and eight sophomores from the Ball State program were 13 of 93 swimmers and divers to be named to the Academic All-MAC Team.
Carlena Magley and Audrey Rodawig were the only two women's swimming and diving student-athletes on the list to record a perfect 4.0 GPA, while two other men's swimming and diving student-athletes, including Ball State's Tanner Barton, were able to mark the feat.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
