Just two weeks ago Shelbie Justice became the 24th Ball State women's basketball player to eclipse 1,000 career points. In a few weeks she'll become the second in a decade to graduate from Ball State as a nursing major.

At Ball State, a nursing major is about as rigourous a program as it gets. The amount of studying, the higher grading curve, the 12-hour clinical days and the sometimes five-hour lectures leave little room for much else. So for a Division I athlete, let alone a team's leader and all-conference caliber, the work can be nearly impossible. Enter Shelbie Justice, the Ball State senior leader and nursing major.
