T&F Closes Bulls Invitational With 11 Top 10?s

TAMPA, Fla. - - The Ball State track & field team closed its opening outdoor competition of the 2015 season by earning 11 Top 10 finishes on the final day of the Bulls Invitational hosted by USF in Tampa, Fla.
Leading the Cardinals on the second day of competition were senior twin sisters Courtney Edon (New Palestine, Ind./New Palestine) and Caitlynn Edon (New Palestine, Ind./New Palestine), who placed second (11:35.84) and fourth (11:50.25), respectively, in the 3000m steeplechase.
Junior middle distance runner Becca Kropf (Goshen, Ind./Fairfield) also captured a fourth-place finish for Ball State, clocking in at 1:04.32 in the 400m hurdles to pace four Cardinals who finished in the top 11 in the event.
Ball State's student-athletes also collected seven career-best performances on the final day of the non-scored meet, with junior distance runner Danielle Dahl (Chelsea, Mich./Chelsea) leading the group by placing sixth in the 800m run with a career-fast clocking of 2:17.67.
The Ball State outdoor track & field team returns to action next Saturday (March 28), when it travels to Marion, Ind., for the Polar Bear Invitational hosted by Indiana Wesleyan University.
