Football Announces Future Games with FAU, EKU
March 02, 2015 | Football
The Ball State University football team has announced two more opponents to its future schedule as the Cardinals have added a home-and-home series with Florida Atlantic University and a home game with Eastern Kentucky University.
The Cardinals and FAU will play in Boca Raton, Fla., Sept. 24, 2016, and in Scheumann Stadium on Sept. 14, 2019. In addition, the 2016 non-conference slate will include a Sept. 17 home game with Eastern Kentucky.
Ball State's 2016 non-conference schedule is now complete as the Cardinals previously announced a Sept. 1 game at Georgia State and Sept. 10 contest at Indiana.
In recognition of completing the 2016 slate, Ball State athletics is looking to take a pair of its best fans to the Florida Atlantic game in 2016. Anyone who purchases new, reserved season tickets for 2015 prior to halftime of the men's basketball game Tuesday night, March 3, will be entered into a Ball State Football Trivia Contest for an opportunity to win a 2016 Florida Atlantic Game Package. The Package includes travel with the football team, lodging in the team hotel and complimentary tickets to the Florida Atlantic game.
A date and location for the trivia contest will be determined based on the availability of the participants, and the new season ticket holder must be present to compete and win. Only one person per family will be entered into the contest.
Reserved season tickets are $111 and represent a savings of $51 off single-game pricing. General admission tickets are also available at $66 for adults and $39 for children, a 35 percent savings off single-game prices. All tickets can be purchased by calling 888-BSU-TICKET or by visiting the Worthen Arena Ticket Office.
Season ticket renewal information will be mailed soon and will feature incentives exclusively for season ticket holders. Ticket prices for the 2015 season remain the same as 2014 prices and this year's home schedule opens the Thursday night prior to Labor Day and concludes the Tuesday night before Thanksgiving. Ball State has four home games on Saturdays in October including Homecoming on Oct. 3 vs. Toledo and Family Weekend on Oct. 24 vs. Central Michigan.
Ball State enters its fifth season under head coach Pete Lembo, who has guided the program to a 30-20 overall record, a 21-11 mark in the Mid-American Conference and a pair of bowl appearances. The 30 victories are the most by any Ball State head coach in the first four years of his coaching career in Muncie and Lembo's .600 win percentage is second best to start a career in program history.
Over the next few weeks, leading into the start of Ball State football spring practice on Tuesday, March 24, Ball State athletics will be announcing details of future football schedules. Accompanying each announcement will be an incentive for fans to purchase new season tickets.
Spring practice culminates with the 2015 Spring Game at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 18 inside Scheumann Stadium. All practices are open to the public and dates of the spring practices will be posted on BallStateSports.com in the near future.
