- When Butler comes to Worthen Arena Sunday, it will mark the 22nd meeting between the two Indiana schools. The Bulldogs lead the all-time series 14-7. The last time the Cardinals defeated the Bulldogs in Worthen Arena was Dec. 8, 2001 by a score of 89-68. Sallee has coached against the Bulldogs four times in his career, owning a 1-3 overall mark against Butler. Butler has won its last six meeting over Ball State. The Cardinals last victory over the Bulldogs was in 2006-07 which resulted in a 97-65 win at Butler.
- Ball State improved to 4-2 on the season after its impressive 94-45 victory over Ohio Valley Thursday night in Worthen Arena. The last time Ball State started its non-conference season with a 4-2 mark was in 2006-07 under former head coach Tracy Roller. This is the first time under Coach Sallee that Ball State has started the season 4-2.
- After six games, three different Cardinals are averaging in double figures in scoring, led by Nathalie Fontaine at 19.8 points per game. Jill Morrison (14.2 ppg) and Moriah Monaco (13.2 ppg) are also averaging double figures each contest.
- Junior guard Jill Morrison was named the Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Week, marking the fourth time Morrison has earned the weekly honor over her career. Morrison helped the Cardinals to a 2-1 record last week after scoring in double figures in all three games. Morrison scored 14 points and had six steals in last Monday's 77-42 win over Austin Peay. She matched the scoring performance in a hotly contested 85-79 loss to Florida in the Omni Hotels Classic in Boulder, Colo., last Friday night. On Saturday, she helped Ball State to its best shooting performance of the season in an 81-42 win over UMass. The Cardinals shot 50.0 percent from the floor (31-of-62), while holding the Minutewomen to 30.4 percent. Morrison had 20 points against UMass, going 6-of-9 from the field with five 3-pointers. For the week, Morrison averaged 16.0 points and 4.3 rebounds per game while making 11 shots from behind the arc and dishing 10 assists.
- Fan Jam will officially begin at 3 p.m., and is free and open to the public. The event will feature the opportunity for fans to take the court with the Ball State men's and women's basketball teams as well as shoot around, get an autographed team poster, see a face painter, visit a balloon artist and take a photo with Charlie Cardinal among other concourse activities. Fan Jam will wrap-up approximately 75 minutes after the conclusion of the women's basketball game. Come to the arena with an empty stomach as Ball State corporate partners Jimmy John's, Let's Spoon, McDonald's, Papa John's and Texas Roadhouse will be serving up free food to patrons beginning at 4 p.m. Pepsi will provide complimentary beverages.
