- Ball State returns home after spending its Thanksgiving break at the Omni Hotels Classic in Boulder, Colo., last week to host Ohio Valley Thursday at 7 p.m. and Butler on Sunday at 2 p.m. Both games will be played in Worthen Arena.
- After last week's competition, Ball State improved to 3-2 on the season with wins over Austin Peay (72-44) and UMass (81-54). The Cardinals fell shot against Florida (79-85). The last time Ball State started its non-conference season with a 3-2 mark was in 2008-09 under former head coach Kelly Packard. This is the first time under Coach Sallee that Ball State has started the season 3-2.
- After five games, three different Cardinals are averaging in double figures in scoring, led by Nathalie Fontaine at 18.0 points per game. Jill Morrison (15.4 ppg) and Moriah Monaco (13.0 ppg) are also averaging double figures each contest.
- Junior guard Jill Morrison was named the Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Week, marking the fourth time Morrison has earned the weekly honor over her career. Morrison helped the Cardinals to a 2-1 record last week after scoring in double figures in all three games. Morrison scored 14 points and had six steals in last Monday's 77-42 win over Austin Peay. She matched the scoring performance in a hotly contested 85-79 loss to Florida in the Omni Hotels Classic in Boulder, Colo., last Friday night. On Saturday, she helped Ball State to its best shooting performance of the season in an 81-42 win over UMass. The Cardinals shot 50.0 percent from the floor (31-of-62), while holding the Minutewomen to 30.4 percent. Morrison had 20 points against UMass, going 6-of-9 from the field with five 3-pointers. For the week, Morrison averaged 16.0 points and 4.3 rebounds per game while making 11 shots from behind the arc and dishing 10 assists.
