Fontaine Earns MAC West Division Player of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Senior guard Nathalie Fontaine has been named the Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Week, marking the seventh time Fontaine has earned the weekly honor.
Fontaine led the Cardinals to a 74 -60 victory in their home opener Thursday against Western Kentucky. Fontaine tied her career high by scoring 30 points and led an impressive assault at the free throw line after going 12-for-12 from the charity stripe.
She scored 24 of her points 30 points after halftime along with grabbing eight rebounds in the second half. Fontaine led the team defensively with 12 rebounds against the Hilltoppers.
For her career, she currently sits in fifth place on Ball State women's basketball all-time scoring list with 1,550 points for her career and has pulled down 676 rebounds, which is good for 10th all-time.
The Ball State women's basketball team host Austin Peay Monday night at 7 p.m. in Worthen Arena before heading to the University of Colorado for the Omni Hotels Classic (Nov. 27-28).
