Gameweek: Ball State Returns to Action Tuesday Night at Ohio
November 16, 2015 | Football
MUNCIE, Ind. – After a longer than usual break between games, the Ball State football team returns to the gridiron Tuesday night it its final road game of the season. The Cardinals will face MAC East Division foe Ohio for the first time since 2012.
Tuesday's game will air nationally on ESPNU at 7 p.m.
Ball State's (3-7, 2-4 MAC) final two games are against the top two teams in the MAC East – second place Ohio this week and division champ Bowling Green in the season finale. In Ball State's only other game against a MAC East opponent, the Cardinals took down UMass by a score of 20-10 on Oct. 31.
Ohio (6-4, 3-3) broke a three-game losing streak last Tuesday with a convincing 27-0 win over Kent State. The Bobcats rushed for a season-high 333 yards versus Kent State.
Both Ball State and Ohio enter Tuesday's game with a turnover margin of +5. The Cardinals have not allowed any points off turnovers the previous four games. However, Ball State has only been able to score 10 points off opponent turnovers in the same stretch.
One player to keep an eye on Tuesday night is junior wide receiver KeVonn Mabon. He needs 177 receiving yards to move into Ball State's career top-10 list. Mabon currently has 1,697 career receiving yards. Fellow WR Jordan Williams ranks fourth on that list with 2,599 yards. Williams is on the Biletnikoff Award watch list.
