MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State women's swim and dive team will begin the 2015-16 season on Saturday, Oct. 10 in the annual Red / White Intra Squad meet at the Lewellen Aquatic Center. Festivities begin at 9 a.m. and will feature a lineup of 12 races with two diving breaks.

The 2015-16 season includes the addition of ten freshman to the roster, including returners such as school record holder, junior Jessica Extine, as well as Zirzow and junior Brittany Penn, two divers who competed at the 2015 NCAA Diving zones.
Last season, the Cardinals finished in eighth place at the 2015 Mid-American Conference Championships with 170 points.
Standouts included Audrey Rodawig, who earned eighth in the 100 freestyle with a time of 51.16 in the finals. Rodawig had set a new season best in the prelims when she swam 50.48 for a fifth place finish.

Other major events included when Zirzow and Penn competed in the NCAA Zone C Championships hosted by Ohio State University in March. Zirzow and Penn finished in the three-meter diving preliminaries with scores of 256.30 and 179.00 respectively, though neither of the Cardinals advanced to the finals, which took the 18 highest scores from prelims. In one-meter competition, Zirzow and Penn competed with dive difficulties of 14.80 and 13.80, respectively. Zirzow contended at a 15.90 difficulty and Penn at a 14.30 difficulty in three-meter competition.
