Men?s Tennis Doubles Team Advances To ITA Finals

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - The Ball State University men's doubles team of Lucas Andersen and Andrew Stutz won their match Sunday to advance to the finals at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Regionals.
Andersen and Stutz teamed up to defeated host Tennessee doubles tandem Jack Schipanski and Igor Smelyanski 7-5, 1-6, 10-4. Sunday's doubles match was the best of three sets with a 10-point tiebreaker in lieu of the third set. The Cardinals will play that same setup for their final match Monday at 9 a.m. against Indiana twosome Sam Monette and Daniel Bednarczyk.
In singles play, Nemanja Guzina fell to Matt McCoy of Indiana 6-2, 3-6, 11-9 in the finals of the back draw.
