Andersen & Elliott Earn MAC Doubles Team Of The Week

MUNCIE, Ind. - Patrick Elliott and Lucas Andersen of the Ball State men's tennis team earned Mid-American Conference Tennis Doubles Team of the Week , the conference office announced Thursday.

Elliott, who begins his senior season with the Cardinals, paired up with Andersen at the No. 1 doubles position to earn a 6-3 victory over Detroit in Ball State's 2015 season opener Saturday. The twosome defeated the Titans' doubles tandem of Patryk Koscielski and Nathan Ponton. Elliott and Andersen would also win both of their singles matches helping the Cardinals earn a 6-1 victory over Detroit. The win over the Titans marked the second-straight season the Cardinals had defeated Detroit in their season opener.

The Ball State men's tennis team continues spring action when it plays two matches Friday, Jan. 23 in Champaign, Ill. The Cardinals will take on Wisconsin-Green Bay at 10 a.m. and will close the day with a match against Big Ten foe Illinois at 7 p.m.
