Football Adds North Carolina St. to Future Schedules
August 08, 2014 | Football
Ball State has announced the addition of North Carolina State to its future football schedules.
The Cardinals will travel to Raleigh, N.C., for a Sept. 21, 2019 contest. The game will mark the first-ever meeting between the Cardinals and the Wolfpack.
"I am pleased we were able to arrange this 2019 game against North Carolina State in Raleigh," Ball State head coach Pete Lembo said. "We have a vision and a plan for out-of-conference scheduling that fits our program's goals. We recruit the state of North Carolina actively and plan to continue to do so in the future. It is beneficial for us to play Power Five opponents in primary recruiting areas such as North Carolina."
A member of the Atlantic Coast Conference, NC State has reached bowl games in three of the last four seasons, including wins in the 2011 Belk Bowl (31-24 over Louisville) and the 2010 Champs Sports Bowl (23-7 over West Virginia).
