Under the direction of fourth-year head football coach Pete Lembo, the Ball State Cardinals completed the first day of preseason practice in preparation for the 2014 season.

The Cardinals play six games at Scheumann Stadium in 2014, including five on Saturdays. Ball State – the only team in the nation to increase its win total in each of the last four seasons – kicks off the 2014 campaign at 2 p.m. Aug. 30 versus Colgate.
