Gymnastics Team Suffers Loss at Ohio State

Ball State's gymnastics team suffered a 196.60 to 192.35 loss at 24th-ranked Ohio State Saturday night.
The Cardinals managed a 47.75 on the vault, a 47.175 on the bars, a 48.675 on the beam and a 48.75 on the floor.
Leah Wilson tied for second on the beam with a 9.850, while Denasiha Christian tied for second on the floor with a 9.900 mark. The 9.85 for Wilson was a career high.
Samantha Santos was fourth on the beam with a 9.825, which tied her career high.
Brooke Evans was Ball State's top competitor on the vault with a 9.700, while Brooklyn Schumacher led the Cardinals on the bars with a 9.725.
Ball State will host Eastern Michigan Friday night as it honors its seniors in a 7 p.m. meet in Irving Gym in Ball State's Student Recreation and Wellness Center.
